Biography
‘I grew up in the cowboy world and I am a fourth generation rancher and horse trainer. At a young age, I found I was artist; a talent that came from my mother. Growing up working cows and training horses, a talent from my father, I drew what inspired me day to day. To this day, I still ranch with the love of my life in some of the most beautiful country you’ll find. Besides my love for all art, I enjoy a good solid horse, quiet cattle, building custom leather tack, and big open country. It is no surprise that as an adult I still put my passions into my art.
I am self-taught and specialize in acrylic paint and pencil drawing. Every piece I do, I try to represent the men and women I work with while honoring the heritage I came from. My hope is that my art touches the viewer in a way that unique to them. One of the greatest joys of being an artist is hearing the stories and memories my art sparks in the viewer. I find the most moving art comes from real life experience.
Ranching is a very romantic lifestyle, all the while being very demanding. I am grateful for the beauty that each day holds and find it easy to bring that to life in my art.’
