Biography
Angie Haskell is an award-winning author and contemporary artist whose designs capture the spirit of the American Southwest through a bold fusion of modernist influences and regional iconography. Her dynamic compositions are rooted in geometric abstraction, drawing inspiration from early modernists like Stuart Davis, Juan Gris and Picasso, while also reflecting the stylization of contemporaries she’s admired from around the world.
Haskell’s palette echoes the vast landscapes and cultural history of the West, while her use of sharp lines and structured compositions lends a sense of order and movement. Through this approach, she reimagines classic Western themes with a fresh, modern aesthetic that is both nostalgic and forward-looking, garnering a dedicated following who instantly recognize her work. Haskell is married to celebrated artist, William Haskell, with whom she often collaborates and shares many collectors from across the country.
