Biography
Yvonne was born and raised on a cattle ranch. Horses and art have always been her passion. It’s no surprise horses and people are her favorite subject. Many of her works are done on commission. She has taught workshops in the community for over 25 years. She works in a variety of mediums, winning many awards over the years, including, Best Equine Award in WAOW (Women Artist of the West) National Exhibition, Outstanding Pastel in Bold Brush International Show, Best of Show, California State Fair Purchase Award, People’s Choice Awards, Awards of Excellent, and Plein Air Painting Awards. In 2020 Yvonne was inducted into the Elk Grove Community Hall of Fame for her accomplishments as an artist.
Yvonne was appointed to the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission by the Sacramento Board of Supervisors and was President of W.A.S.H (Watercolor Artists of Sacramento Horizons). Her paintings have hung at the California State Capital and Washington D.C. She is Signature Member of WAOW (Women Artists of the West) and Colored Pencil Society of America and Associate with Distinction Member of AWA (American Women Artist Association). Associate Member of the California Art Club, NOAPS (National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society) and OPA (Oil Painters of America).
