Anthony Sinclair was born in Santa Anna California in 1943 and grew up in the Midwest. He graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After returning from military service, he was an art director for several years in San Diego where he became a full-time fine arts painter in 1973. Having used acrylic paint on linen for about 30 years, he started painting with oils on linen in 1992. He knows produces paintings done in oils or acrylics depending on the subject.
A western painter for almost 20 years, Sinclair now does various subjects as well as commissions. He has also produced 27 lithos and even bronzes over the years. He lives with his wife and son in the beautiful Sierra foothills of northern California. Over the years he has shown in many of the best galleries, too numerous to list, throughout the United States and Canada. He has had collectors from all over the world commission and purchase his work. Always interested in many different subjects, the variety of his work ranges from racehorses, landscapes, people, wildlife, and westerns.
