Hank Richter

Biography

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Hank graduated with honors from the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. After working as Creative Art Director for major advertising agencies, He moved to Phoenix and formed his own successful agency representing many local, prominent financial and business clients. Hank’s first art venture was an authenticated sculpture of a Sioux Indian head, launched him into a successful full-time fine art career. In addition to sculpting, Hank has won awards for his work in oil, watercolor, pastel and graphite.

Hank is included in Who’s Who in Western Art; Who’s Who in American Art; and Pat Broder’s – Bronzes of the American West. His sculptures and paintings are in museum, corporate and individual art collections, including The Heard Museum, Wells Fargo Bank, University of Arizona, Principia College, Sterling Hill Mining Museum and the cities of Peoria and Glendale, AZ. Hank’s painting, “At the Wadi”, was one of twenty-five artworks in the AZ House of Representatives’ Visions of Arizona exhibition. His sculpture, “Coming Off To Fight”, received the Chairman’s Award and 1st Place Sculpture awards in Arizona Art Alliance’s “Honoring Our Veterans” exhibition.

Hank feels a responsibility to present the viewer with an uplifting, inspiring, thoughtful and professional approach to the subject. Although noted for his detailed Western themes, Hank has recently added landscapes and contemporary paintings to his studio time.
