Biography
Joshua A. Martin was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989, before his family relocated to Oklahoma in 1995. He began taking private art classes when he was 8 years old and was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome at age 10. After graduating from high school and receiving certifications in Graphic Design and Web Design from Moore Norman Technology Center, he graduated from Oklahoma City Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Technology in 2011. For several years he studied oil painting under artist Carol Armstrong in Norman. Over the years, Joshua has won several awards for art and design, becoming known for his realistic oil paintings of wildlife and nature, and in 2020 obtained signature membership status in the Oil Painters of America. Joshua currently lives and paints in Norman, Oklahoma.
