Jerry and his family have lived in Arizona for 4 generations. He learned the ways of native animals and plants while working as a cowhand in Aravaipa Canyon in the 50’s. Countless hours in the saddle follwing cattle and game trails honed his senses to the patterns and balance necessary for their survival in the intense desert conditions. He later studied anthropology and animal sciences at the University of Arizona, but forging steel came naturally to him. He has studied with Sandy Scott, Chris Navarro, and Nicholas Wilson.
