Sheri Greves- Neilson

Biography

Sheri Greves-Neilson’s artistic journey began at 8 years old. She knew then that she wanted to be a painter, but her chiropractor father was not supportive. After she graduated from chiropractic college, she practiced for a year and then dove straight into western art. It has been a wonderful journey.

Greves-Neilson’s media include watercolor, oil, and pencil (graphite and colored). Horses are a never-ending source of inspiration. She manages to paint all sorts of animals and working cowboys, also. Wild horses are new additions since moving to Nevada. Her studio is my refuge. After being widowed for a second time, she moved to Minden, Nevada. She has found home surrounded by beautiful mountains and a thriving art community.

Greves-Neilson’s work has been exhibited at the National Wildlife Museum in Wyoming, the Old West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the Phippen Art Museum in Arizona, Desert Caballeros Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona, the American Quarter Horse Museum in Amarillo, Texas and the Tucson Art Museum in Arizona. I have work in the corporate collections of Chase Oil of New Mexico and Edward and Associates of Texas.
