Sarah Dean

Dean remembers visiting the local county fair as a little girl to see the horses stabled there and being in tears from excitement. She couldn’t get enough of the horses then, and they remain her favorite subjects now. That passion has always brought her back to equine art inspired by the countryside of Colorado in which she was raised and tries to capture the love she feels every time she puts her brush to canvas.

“I’ve been drawing since I could pick up a pencil. In my teenage years, I trained under fellow Coloradoan artist Judith Dickinson to refine my pencil skills and learn the ins and outs of oil painting. I feel learn something new every time I finish another piece, and I’m excited to share my work with you today.”
