Biography

Originally from the Midwest, Darcie grew up with a passion for the outdoors often drawing and painting her outdoor adventures throughout primary and secondary school. With a B.A. in Art and an M.A. in Interior Design, Darcie has taught art and pursued a multi-faceted career in graphic design, advertising, and interior design. Her passion throughout has always been her painting and a love of the outdoors.

Peet’s paintings have been juried into Oil Painters of America and numerous national and regional shows, including Salon International, The C.M. Russell Museum Show, Cowgirl Up Show, Arts for the Parks, Settler’s West Miniature and Great American West Shows and Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters National Exhibit. Her paintings have also been acquired for many permanent collections including the Pearce Museum in Corsican, TX, the Arrabelle Hotel and Vail Valley Medical Center, Vail CO. She has been honored with numerous awards in many shows that included Best of Show, First Place, Artist’s Choice, and Collector’s Choice awards.

Darcie Peet and her paintings have also been featured in many national art publications, such as Art of the West, Western Art Collector, and Southwest Art. Darcie is also a Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America, American Plains Artists Association and Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters. Peet has made the Colorado Rocky Mountains and Tucson Arizona’s Sonora Desert her home for over twenty years.
